Hi I’m Charlotte and I head up Music at Victory Radio and present my own show called Victory Introducing which is something I am so passionate about as I love discovering new artists! I am also a Subtv Music Curator which has allowed me to create playlists for the channel and attend festivals to interview artists!

 

My music tastes have always been very eclectic as I’ve grown up listening to all genres from soul, jazz, rock, hip hop and everything else in between! My tastes constantly change based on the artists I discover, but currently I’m loving ‘New Jazz & Soul’. They’re full of emerging talent such as Tom Misch, Jorja Smith, KLLO, Rex Orange County and NAO!

  

Creating this particular playlist was challenging as it forced me to think about the relationship between Music and Identity. Once I got started however, I realised how interconnected they both are. I've chosen to include artists whose music represents identity in different ways from race, sexuality, family, love and society in general.  I hope you enjoy.
